About the Role

(This position is 100% onsite)

Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.

Overall Summary:

The Operations Intern will contribute to our Large & Small Antenna manufacturing teams by enhancing processes, strengthening documentation, and applying data-driven methodologies to support operational excellence. This position provides meaningful exposure to the systems, workflows, and analytical rigor required to operate a complex aerospace manufacturing facility.

This paid internship will take place in Summer 2026 with a flexible May or June start date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in documenting existing manufacturing and test processes.
  • Work with Stores, Planning, and Manufacturing teams to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Help develop process flow diagrams for major assemblies.
  • Perform data cleanup and basic reporting in Costpoint.
  • Assist with maintaining test documentation and procedures.
  • Support troubleshooting of assembly and test issues.
  • Participate in safety and quality initiatives.
  •  Learn how production schedules and priorities are managed.

Support sub-assembly and final test activities under the guidance of engineering and operations staff.

Requirements:

  • Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
     • Strong interest in manufacturing, operations, or test engineering.
    • Ability to obtain a future U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Preferred Skills

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and technical instructions.
  •  Basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel and technical documentation.
  •  Interest in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $28.00/hr. - $35.00/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
