How you make a difference

The Accounting and Finance Intern supports a variety of financial and operational activities that contribute to Wellpath’s business objectives. This role assists Finance, Accounting, Client Reporting, and Procurement teams with data collection, reporting, and routine financial processes. The intern prepares basic reports, spreadsheets, and summaries to support analysis, decision-making, and reporting cycles. The position provides hands-on exposure to reconciliations, expense review, invoice tracking, and month-end or periodic reporting activities. Through project work and collaboration, the intern gains practical experience in financial operations, analytics, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and analytical support to Finance, Accounting, Client Reporting, and Procurement teams

  • Assist with data collection, validation, organization, and preparation of reports and summaries

  • Support routine financial processes including reconciliations, invoice tracking, expense review, and reporting cycles

  • Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and special project activities such as modeling, analysis, and dashboard development

  • Collaborate with team members on process improvement initiatives and respond to ad hoc requests

Qualifications & Requirements

EDUCATION

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Exposure to financial systems, ERP software, financial modeling, or data analysis preferred
