Cyber Defence (Technical Operations)</b><ul><li><p><b>Monitor & Detect:</b> Assist the Security Operations Center (SOC) in monitoring security alerts from SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS tools.</p></li><li><p><b>Incident Response:</b> Support the team in investigating potential security breaches and performing initial triage on phishing reports.</p></li><li><p><b>Vulnerability Management:</b> Participate in scanning environments for weaknesses and tracking remediation efforts with engineering teams.</p></li></ul><b>2. Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)</b><ul><li><p><b>Risk Assessment:</b> Assist in identifying and evaluating digital risks across various business units.</p></li><li><p><b>Policy & Audit:</b> Review internal security policies against industry frameworks (ISO 27001, CIS, NIST) and help gather evidence for internal/external audits.</p></li><li><p><b>Third-Party Risk:</b> Help evaluate the security posture of potential vendors and partners.</p></li></ul><b>3. Security Project Management</b><ul><li><p><b>Planning & Execution:</b> Support Project Managers in tracking milestones for major security rollouts</p></li><li><p><b>Documentation:</b> Maintain project dashboards, meeting minutes, and technical documentation to ensure stakeholders are aligned.</p></li><li><p><b>Cross-Functional Coordination:</b> Act as a bridge between technical security engineers and business leadership.</p></li></ul><h3><b>Qualifications</b></h3><ul><li><p><b>Education:</b> Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.</p></li><li><p><b>Foundational Knowledge:</b> A basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common security threats.</p></li><li><p><b>Soft Skills:</b> Strong analytical mindset, excellent written communication, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.</p></li><li><p><b>Tools (A Plus):</b> Familiarity with Python, SQL, Jira, or security tools like Wireshark, Splunk, or Nessus is a bonus but not required.REQUIREMENTS Requirement 1 Requirement 2 Requirement 490, etc...</p></li></ul><br> <b>We are all different</b> - one talent to another - that is how we rely on our differences.
