Site Overview:

For more than 40 years, our advanced facilities in Singapore have led aerospace innovation across Asia Pacific. From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

 

Role Overview:

  • Candidate should understand the basic principles of production flow and observe the tasks that the technicians are doing to complete their operations. This will help to plan/design the future standard work of technicians through standardization of processes/flow/cycle time, rolling up to how production flow can be optimized at the shop level.

  • Opportunity to build project management skills by supporting initiatives directly linked to the department’s transformation.

Ideal Candidate

The Ideal candidate is a proactive and analytical individual with a passion for lean manufacturing and process improvement. They should be eager to learn, possess strong problem-solving skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Interns must be able to commit to a 20-24 week internship at minimum to ensure they have sufficient time and opportunity to learn from their internship projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Under-graduate pursuing a Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

  • Quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed 

  • Strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative

  • Analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker
