About the Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager - TD Place, the Intern, Digital Media & Events Marketing, supports event coverage on our digital media platforms for all TD Place and Lansdowne EVENTS with OSEG’s Events & Entertainment and Marketing departments. This individual will be relied on to provide support in all areas of the events at TD Place, including executing announcements, on-sales, event promotion, lead up, and provision of event day support.
 

Students who wish to participate in an internship opportunity with Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group must be a part of an accredited post-secondary program where fulfillment of internship credit is required for graduation.   

  • This internship is a four (4) month part-time position from February 2026 to May 2026.  
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a post-secondary education program offering class credits for the internship placement; this is an unpaid position.  

What you’ll do:

Marketing 

  • Capture live footage of events for TD Place social media and digital platforms. 
  • Run the TD Place social media platforms to assist in announcements, event promotion and on-sales of new events.
  • Engage and support TD Place’s sports teams (Ottawa REDBLACKS, Ottawa 67’s, Atletico Ottawa, PWHL Ottawa, and Ottawa BlackJacks) on TD Place social Media.
  • Take phone video of event atmosphere, behind-the-scenes, and fan content to post on stories and other resources.
  • Capture concourse partnership activations during intermissions (autograph signings, merchandise, bands, etc.).
    Assist with giveaways and in-game social media activation.
  • Assist (if needed) on theme game nights.

Events and Entertainment 

  • Assist in event promotion, listings and execution.
  • Conduct ongoing research (tour routing, artist agents, promoters, comparable venues).
  • Provide administrative support (file and photo organization, meeting minutes, feedback collection).  

Other Responsibilities

  • Work closely with marketing team to come up with new and/or trendy ideas for event coverage, with a focus on event atmosphere.
  • Assist with creation and posting of content during community and fan events.
  • Contribute to the overall creativity of the organization by pushing the brand in new directions, brainstorming new ideas and playing an active role within the Brand & Marketing team.
  • Label and archive footage and photos within team Dropbox; including adding photos to player and staff folders.

What’s needed:

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program related, but not limited, to Marketing, Media, Advertising, Communications,  Event Management.
  • Candidates must be available to attend *all TD Place and Lansdowne events as assigned, including evenings and weekends (some exceptions can apply). 
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 
  • Ability to be professional around entertainers, performers or athletes on a day-to-day basis.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude, with the ability and desire to work as part of a multifunctional team.
  • Demonstrate the values that align with the OSEG Foundation mission.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • A proactive nature and ability to adapt.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Photo or video content creation experience is an asset.
