Join us at Waymo for a fun and rewarding internship!</p> <p><strong>You will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Implement and scale the back-end infrastructure for Waymo's ride-hailing services. This collection of systems manages trip requests; calculates pickup and ride times; matches right vehicles to riders; provides APIs to client apps and other services.</li> <li>Develop expertise in and make use of various Google technologies, like Borg, Spanner, Flume, and custom-built systems for our specific problems.</li> <li>Design and implement software for autonomous vehicles to handle passenger interactions, communications with hailing and routing services, and improve user's riding experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working towards a BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience</li> <li>Collaborate with different teams</li> </ul> <p><strong>We prefer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience working on backend systems or software infrastructure</li> <li>Interest in distributed systems</li> </ul>
