About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Tax Intern to support our tax team during the summer. This internship provides hands-on exposure to state and federal tax compliance, tax accounting, and cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and interested in pursuing a career in tax, accounting, or finance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with state and federal income tax return preparation
  • Support preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns
  • Help prepare and analyze state apportionment schedules
  • Assist with preparation and analysis of federal tax workpapers and quarterly tax accounting processes
  • Conduct tax research and summarize findings
  • Organize and maintain tax files and supporting documentation
  • Investigate federal/state notice issues and prepare responses
  • Collaborate with the tax team and other departments on ongoing projects, including process improvement (e.g., workpaper automation and data visualization) and federal/state audit support

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field (including data-focused)
  • Interest in taxation, accounting, or corporate finance
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
