The HR & Talent Assistant (Part-Time Internship) plays a vital role in supporting the recruitment and HR operations that help schools hire and retain high-quality educators. Working closely with experienced HR professionals, this role provides hands-on experience with candidate screening, interview coordination, credential documentation, and HR systems across multiple education clients. With opportunities for mentorship, learning, and meaningful contribution, this internship is ideal for a student or recent graduate eager to grow in Human Resources while advancing educational outcomes. 

Essential Functions:

1. Talent Acquisition Support:

  • Conduct initial phone screens and provide timely follow-up communication to applicants. 

  • Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and the Talent Acquisition team. 

  • Assist with posting job openings across platforms and tracking candidate pipelines. 

  • Maintain professional and responsive communication with applicants throughout the recruitment process. 

2. HRIS & Credential Management:

  • Upload and maintain accurate teacher credentials and documentation in HRIS platforms. 

  • Ensure compliance by auditing credential files and verifying completeness. 

  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity when managing personnel records. 

  • Support data entry and updates within multiple client HRIS systems as needed. 

3. Administrative HR Support:

  • Assist with onboarding tasks, such as paperwork tracking and scheduling. 

  • Provide general administrative support across HR and Talent Acquisition projects. 

  • Help maintain digital and physical HR documentation and filing systems. 

  • Participate in ad-hoc HR initiatives and support shifting team priorities. 

4. Internship Learning & Collaboration:

  • Engage with HR professionals to gain exposure to real-world HR practices. 

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing HR process improvements. 

  • Take on stretch assignments to broaden understanding of the HR function. 

  • Seek and respond to feedback to support personal and professional growth. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from a bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially for phone outreach and scheduling coordination. 

  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. 

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks independently. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn HRIS platforms quickly. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with HRIS platforms or data entry tasks. 

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or recruitment processes. 

  • Demonstrated interest in Talent Acquisition, HR operations, or educational HR support. 

  • Experience working in a team or internship environment with shifting priorities.
