About The Company
We are building reversible cryopreservation technology to solve the organ procurement and matching problem. Cryopreservation is already essential to modern medicine — powering IVF and life-saving stem cell therapies. Now, we’re extending this technology to whole human organs — transforming hours of viability into weeks, or months, however long is necessary — so that no donated organ is lost to logistics, and no patient dies waiting. By solving this immediate need, we de-risk and build the foundation for what comes next: whole-body reversible cryopreservation. We're pausing molecular motion to give patients a bridge to future cures.
About the Role

About Until

Until is a moonshot company building a “pause button” for biology. Our near-term focus is organ-scale reversible cryopreservation: preserving donated organs at subzero temperatures without ice formation, then rewarming them uniformly for transplant. By solving this challenge, we are laying the foundation for whole-body reversible cryopreservation, giving patients a bridge to future cures. To achieve our goal, we are assembling an interdisciplinary team to develop perfusion systems, cryoprotectant formulations, and vitrification and rewarming hardware. We envision a future where no transplantable organ is lost to logistics, and no terminal diagnosis is final because patients can safely wait for future medicine to arrive.

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly reliable, detail-oriented university intern to support both business operations and lab operations through a rotational role. This is a paid, hands-on position for someone who enjoys being in the middle of things — helping systems run smoothly, learning how a fast-moving biotech operates, and executing on real operational work. This role is ideal for a student interested in biotech, operations, lab environments, or startups who wants exposure to both the scientific and business sides of an early-stage company.

What You'll Do
  • Internal Operations Support:
  • Act as a flexible “Swiss army knife” for the operations team, supporting a wide range of business needs as they arise
  • Assist with outreach, coordination, and scheduling (email follow-ups, calendar management, light research)
  • Support planning and execution of conferences, recruiting events, and internal events
  • Assist with documentation, tracking, and light data entry to keep operations running smoothly
  • Take on ad hoc operational projects and errands to unblock the team
  • Lab Operations Support:
  • Assist with day-to-day lab operations errands (receiving packages, restocking supplies, returns, equipment coordination)
  • Coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and deliveries related to lab work (samples, equipment, materials)
  • Help maintain lab organization and cleanliness standards
  • Support inventory tracking and basic lab logistics
  • Assist lab team members with operational setup tasks as needed
  • Rotational / Learning Component:
  • Rotate between lab ops and broader operations work based on weekly needs
  • Gain exposure to how operations supports R&D, people, and company scaling
  • Take on increasing ownership and responsibility as you ramp

Who You Are
  • Have a can-do attitude and are happy to roll up your sleeves
  • Currently enrolled in a university program (undergraduate or master’s)
  • Highly dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with hands-on, in-person work and running errands
  • Able to follow instructions carefully and execute reliably
  • Comfortable working in a lab environment (training provided)
  • Interest in biotech, operations, or startups is a plus

Nice to Have
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or startup environment

What You’ll Get
  • Exposure to real-world biotech operations
  • Hands-on experience supporting both lab and company operations
  • Close collaboration with scientists, engineers, and operations leaders
  • A practical understanding of how early-stage biotech companies run day to day
  • Mentorship and learning opportunities across functions
