This internship offers hands‑on experience in operational excellence, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies within a fast‑paced industrial environment.</p> <p>You will work on a high‑impact project focused on reducing labor hour variance by analyzing actual versus standard work hours, identifying root causes of inefficiencies, and recommending data‑driven improvements. This role is ideal for a self‑starter who enjoys problem‑solving, process mapping, and collaborating across functions.</p> <hr> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>1. Labor Efficiency &amp; Variance Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Conduct detailed analysis of standard vs. actual labor hours to identify deviations.</li> <li>Calculate labor efficiency variance and interpret findings to highlight improvement opportunities.</li> <li>Perform time studies to validate assumptions and evaluate current work practices.</li> </ul> <p>2. Process Mapping &amp; Problem Identification</p> <ul> <li>Develop value stream maps to visualize current workflows and uncover bottlenecks or inefficiencies.</li> <li>Facilitate gap analysis to determine the root causes behind labor hour variances.</li> </ul> <p>3. Continuous Improvement Project Execution</p> <ul> <li>Apply the DMAIC (Define–Measure–Analyze–Improve–Control) framework to structure problem‑solving activities.</li> <li>Coordinate and support Kaizen workshops to drive improvement ideas and solutions.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement, test, and validate corrective actions.</li> </ul> <p>4. Documentation &amp; Standardization</p> <ul> <li>Create or update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) reflecting improved workflows.</li> <li>Develop training materials to support the adoption of new processes.</li> </ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>In your third year of university student pursuing: <ul> <li>Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial &amp; Systems Engineering),</li> <li>Bachelor of Technology (Industrial &amp; Management Engineering), or</li> <li>Equivalent specialisation within NTU MAE or similar institutions.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Analytical Skills -&nbsp;Strong ability to interpret data, diagnose problems, and propose effective solutions.</li> <li>Soft Skills - Self‑starter with strong initiative and ownership mindset.</li> </ul> </div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Apply today to be part of what’s next.</strong></p> <p>We make the tech that enables the chips in devices which improve lives around the world.
