Your Opportunity

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Summer Engineering Internship to support the Hydro and Dams group within the Energy and Resources business center. This is a terrific opportunity for a college senior/graduate student to support a number of exciting projects while learning important skillsets.
Our Dams and Hydro team includes a multidisciplinary staff, including civil, geotechnical/geologic, and water resource engineers that specialize in the planning, analysis, design, and construction of water storage, water conveyance and hydropower projects including:
- Embankment, Concrete & RCC Dams
- Hydraulic Structures including Spillways and Outlet Works
- Tunnels & Shafts for Pipelines

Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing proposals, including project scheduling, and developing cost estimates.
- Assisting in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.
- Performing simple calculations, computer data entry, along with some exposure to CAD, GIS, GeoStudio, RocScience Programs, and Bluebeam.
- Assist in writing technical documents such as calculation packages, geotechnical data reports, design reports, and specifications.
- Support field investigations and the assessment of subsurface conditions by reviewing drilling and test pit logs, in-situ testing data, and other pertinent field documentation.
- Performing research and contacting vendors for information.
- Develop familiarity with regulatory agency requirements, technical design standards, and industry standards and guidelines
