Description
Under supervision, interns at Steinberg Hart rotate through a variety of projects to gain exposure to a cross section of the firm’s practice areas as well as through all phases of projects.
Responsibilities
- Creating and assembling client deliverables utilizing CAD, Revit, Sketchup, Illustrator, etc.
- Generating plan layouts, elevations and sections in collaboration with projects’ design staff and Design Directors
- Material, code, vendor and supplier research
- Physical model building including 3D printer and laser cutting
- Assisting the Marketing Department with general graphics and project pursuits
- Assisting project teams with construction administration tasks and site-visits
Requirements
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a School of Architecture, Interior Architecture or aligned Degree Program
- Basic knowledge of architectural building systems
- Basic understanding of the arrangement of working drawings, as well as structural, mechanical and electrical systems
- Desire to learn, accept direction, and be mentored
- Work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills
- Basic knowledge in all relevant computer software:
- AutoCAD 2014 or later
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Modeling: SketchUp or Rhino preferred
- Rendering: 3D Studio Max or Maxwell Render preferred
- Building Information Modeling: Revit (preferred)
