About the Role

Description

Under supervision, interns at Steinberg Hart rotate through a variety of projects to gain exposure to a cross section of the firm’s practice areas as well as through all phases of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and assembling client deliverables utilizing CAD, Revit, Sketchup, Illustrator, etc.
  • Generating plan layouts, elevations and sections in collaboration with projects’ design staff and Design Directors
  • Material, code, vendor and supplier research
  • Physical model building including 3D printer and laser cutting
  • Assisting the Marketing Department with general graphics and project pursuits
  • Assisting project teams with construction administration tasks and site-visits


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a School of Architecture, Interior Architecture or aligned Degree Program
  • Basic knowledge of architectural building systems
  • Basic understanding of the arrangement of working drawings, as well as structural, mechanical and electrical systems
  • Desire to learn, accept direction, and be mentored
  • Work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • Basic knowledge in all relevant computer software:
    • AutoCAD 2014 or later
    • Microsoft Office
    • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
    • Modeling: SketchUp or Rhino preferred
    • Rendering: 3D Studio Max or Maxwell Render preferred
    • Building Information Modeling: Revit (preferred)
