About the Role

Description

CHEST is looking for motivated and talented individuals to join our team under our internship program for Summer 2026. The goal of this program is to help further develop your skills in a professional business setting, better preparing you for your future career.


As an intern, you will be working closely with a supervisor who will provide you with real hands-on projects and daily tasks. Interns will be able to apply classroom-based knowledge to projects and gain essential skills needed to be career-ready. CHEST interns will have the opportunity to CRUSH LUNG DISEASE by working alongside experienced, passionate professionals in a flexible, innovative, mission-driven hybrid environment.


CHEST is dedicated to developing our staff, and we strive to make this internship as realistic and informative as possible.


Responsibilities:

  • Various IT projects
  • Exposure to technical event support
  • Exposure to hardware and software provisioning and device management
  • Depending on field of expertise/interest: Assisting with programming, development operations, and participating in code deployments related to CHEST e-commerce & customer portal
  • Assisting with writing user stories, test cases, and code testing
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, with a major in MIS, Computer Science, or IT related field.
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Basic experience troubleshooting major operating systems.
  • Web based development
  • A curious and problem-solving mindset
  • Critical thinking
  • (Preferred not required) Remedial programming skills or willing to learn; preferred technologies: C#, Python, MS SQL, Snowflake, JavaScript.
  • (Preferred not required) basic understanding of content management systems


Additional Information:

The hourly pay for this position is $20/hr. This position is anticipated to work 30 hours per week, in a hybrid work environment.
