As a Human Computer Interaction Engineer, you will assist in design efforts for novel, cutting edge mobile, web, and software applications in artificial intelligence, machine learning, test &amp; evaluation, and aerospace. You may also do front end software development, Many of the systems we develop are the first of their kind and are highly specialized for the military personnel who use them. We strongly believe that user-centered design is the only methodology to properly develop these systems.<br><br>This role will require superior communication and presentation skills. This person will be expected to conduct user research exercises to gain domain knowledge/insights and evaluate prototypes. This person must also be able to convey ideas/concepts to the rest of the development team and to stakeholders. This role requires a design background in some shape or form: either formal training or experience designing applications. Also, the ability to convey ideas visually through sketches, prototypes, or adobe tools is a necessity. Finally, this position requires candidates to have software development skills. Being able to implement designs (in code) is highly desired for this position.</p> <h3><br>RESPONSIBILITIES:</h3> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design user experiences for Mobile, Desktop, and Web applications</p> </li> <li> <p>Design and development of software applications and software implementation of user interaction/experience designs</p> </li> <li> <p>Conduct user research exercises to gain domain knowledge/insights and&nbsp;<span data-ref="fd7e3cda-7c6f-4427-8924-3102955e5a46">evaluate prototypes </span></p> </li> <li> <p>Design, prototype, and evaluate novel data visualizations</p> </li> </ul> <h3><br>REQUIREMENTS:</h3> <ul> <li> <p>US Citizenship required and ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Working towards a BS or BA degree in Information Design, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Data Science,&nbsp;Engineering,&nbsp;or related subject</p> </li> <li> <p>An Interest in User Interface (UI) Design, User Experience (UX Design), Human-Machine Teaming, Human-AI Teaming, Human Computer Interaction, and/or Human Factors</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience conducting user research and understanding of various methods to perform such studies</p> </li> <li> <p><span data-ref="cca892f6-7829-413c-9f84-ee3fedc79f31"> Working knowledge of one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, or React are preferred)&nbsp;</span></p> </li> <li> <p>Experience designing and prototyping software applications</p> </li> <li> <p>Visual design experience</p> </li> <li> <p>Exemplary communication skills (move higher) presenting to internal teams</p> </li> <li> <p>Self-starter and driven</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>MORSE Corp’s pay range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need.
