About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and creative intern to help improve the user experience of our engineering software, including semiconductor test and test instrument software. You will be responsible for writing clear, user-friendly help files, creating software mockups, designing intuitive user flows, and leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity. This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with engineers and product designers to make complex technical software more accessible and usable.

 


Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with engineers and product teams to understand software features and user needs.
  • Write clear, structured, and user-friendly help documentation, including manuals, online help files, and quick-start guides.
  • Create visual mockups and wireframes to illustrate software workflows and interface designs.
  • Design and document effective user flows for software processes.
  • Utilize AI tools to accelerate documentation, generate mockups, and improve overall productivity.
  • Ensure documentation and mockups are consistent with usability best practices.
  • Update and maintain documentation and UX artifacts as software evolves.

Qualifications


  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Engineering, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Technical Communication, UX Design, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them clearly to users.
  • Basic UX skills: wireframing, user flows, and mockup creation (tools like Figma, Axure or similar).
  • Experience or willingness to learn learning product tools like Adobe FrameMaker to create professional documentation.
  • Familiarity or interest in semiconductor testing, test instrumentation, or engineering software is a plus.
  • Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot or similar) to enhance productivity and creativity.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and creativity.
  • Self-motivated and able to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and other team members.
