About the Role

Job Summary

The intern will be part of the project that enhances enterprise risk governance while piloting AI and digital innovations to improve policy access, risk insights, and reporting. This project provides hands-on experience at the intersection of risk management, data analysis, and emerging technologies.

 

The project equips the intern with practical experience in risk governance, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, and strategic reporting—complementing academic studies in business, governance, or information systems.

Job Description

  • Workflow Automation
    • Map existing manual workflows (e.g., incident reporting, compliance trackers) and identify opportunities for automation.
    • Support the development of streamlined digital workflows using Microsoft Power Automate, SharePoint, or equivalent platforms.
  • AI Integration
    • Support the design and testing of an AI-powered SharePoint Co-Pilot to help employees quickly access and query policies, procedures, and reporting requirements across Risk, BCM, Insurance, and Compliance.
  • Reporting & Standardisation
    • Assist to support review existing reporting templates and trackers across functions, including Data Protection incident reporting, and propose standardised formats.
    • Assist in developing dashboards and automated reports to enhance management oversight and decision-making.
  • Risk Governance & Reporting 
    • Conduct a comparative review of group policies to support the Group Policy Governance Project, identifying gaps and standardisation opportunities
    • Assist in refreshing the Group’s Top 10 Risks by consolidating risk registers from various BUs and facilitating cross-functional analysis
    • Support risk data collection and research in the areas of cyber risk and data privacy, including benchmarking against industry standards
  • Cyber, Data Privacy & AI Risks
    • Research industry benchmarks, assess internal practices, and highlight emerging exposures related to data privacy, cyber security, and AI governance.

Key Qualification

  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Business, Accountancy, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field from a recognised Singapore university
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesise information, draw insights, and apply findings to practical solutions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, summaries, or presentation materials.
  • Interest in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), including emerging areas such as data privacy, cyber security, and AI governance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI) and workflow platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Power Automate) is a plus.
  • Curiosity about AI applications in business (e.g., AI-powered dashboards, copilots, or process automation) and willingness to experiment with digital tools to improve efficiency.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently, with strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
