Your team and your responsibilities

Team/division description

 

Within Toyota Motor Europe’s R&D Electronics Engineering division, the in-car software team is dedicated to advancing the development of multimedia & cockpit software. Our mission is to improve user experience and create innovative solutions towards achieving Software Defined Vehicles.

Software validation is a crucial in ensuring the quality of a vehicle’s software. Our team also develops the technology and toolchain for this activity.

 

Your project

  • Analyse the vehicle architecture & ECU specification to define the requirements for a remote test bench
  • Setup a remote test bench for development and evaluation of cockpit software
  • Develop software tools to perform automated testing
  • Define the test specifications based on the software requirements  
  • Write and execute the test scripts based on the test specification
  • Communicate the outcome of the evaluation to the relevant stakeholders

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • You are enrolled into a master in Computer science, Software Engineering, Electronics engineering, or Automotive engineering
  • You have a strong interest in automotive industry & systems.
  • You have already demonstrated programming skills with Python
  • Following knowledge/skills are considered as an asset:
    • Programming languages such as Dart (Flutter) and/or C++
    • Linux fundamentals and embedded environments
    • Software development processes & techniques such as requirements engineering, Agile Scrum, software evaluation, SIL/HIL
    • Usage of source control tools (Github)
    • Network & automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet)
  • You have a quality mindset and pay attention to detail

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

 

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

 

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
