Intern, Commercial Strategy

<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Commercial Strategy and Analytics intern will be responsible for building and presenting a proposal to integrate an Artificial Intelligence Large Language Model (AI LLM) provider with our internal Tableau reporting environment, in alignment with the Commercial Analytics team, IT, and other relevant stakeholders.&nbsp; The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in exploring LLM models for business use and is motivated to interview and collaborate with other stakeholders to uncover business needs.</p> <p><strong>Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Research available AI LLM providers that integrate with Tableau and determine pros and cons of built-in vs. custom integrations</li> <li>Interview Analytics team and other relevant commercial stakeholders to understand and capture business needs and requirements</li> <li>Collaborate with our internal IT team and Salesforce to understand technical requirements for integration, ensuring data privacy and protection is paramount</li> <li>Present to Commercial leadership on recommendation and key findings – along with proposed plan for implementation</li> <li>Uncover potential use cases for how an AI LLM could be implemented to meet the needs of the Commercial team</li> </ul> <p><strong>Factors for Success:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Current Bachelors or Masters student in communications, business, statistics, data science, or a related field</li> <li>Strong interest in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry</li> <li>Problem-solving mindset, ability to successfully navigate ambiguity/complexity</li> <li>Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable strategy and tactics</li> <li>Advanced PowerPoint skills required</li> <li>Familiarity with LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc) required</li> <li>Must be a team player with strong self-awareness and excellent interpersonal skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>A Few Other Details Worth Mentioning:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The position will be based in our beautiful Irvine office, complete with a courtyard, table tennis, snacks and drinks, and occasional catered meals.
