<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The Legal Intern will support the Legal Department in its delivery of advice, counsel, and services to the business. At a high level, the Legal Intern will be responsible for assisting with reviewing agreements and marketing materials, conducting legal research, and working on special projects.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Drafts, reviews, and analyses a variety of contracts, letters and memos</li> <li>Conducts legal and compliance research</li> <li>Generally assists with department initiatives and projects</li> <li>Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and codes.</li> <li>Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business need.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Factors for Success:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in law school and has completed 1^st or 2^nd year of law school</li> <li>An undergraduate degree in a science-related field is preferred, but not required</li> <li>Interested in an opportunity to learn about the corporate/in-house legal and compliance function</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary</li> <li>Organized with attention to detail</li> <li>Ability to work independently and re-prioritize according to changing demands</li> </ul> <p><strong>A Few Other Details Worth Mentioning:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The position will be based in our beautiful Irvine office, complete with a courtyard, table tennis, snacks and drinks, and occasional catered meals.
