About the Role
<p>Position Overview:</p><p>We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Sales Intern to support our sales team. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working with people, and wants hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment. The Sales Intern will assist with lead generation, customer communication, sales reporting, and overall sales operations.</p><p> </p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>- Assist the sales team with prospecting and lead generation activities</p><p>- Conduct research to identify potential customers and new market opportunities</p><p>- Support the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and materials</p><p>- Help manage CRM data by entering, updating, and maintaining accurate records</p><p>- Participate in customer outreach via email, phone, or social platforms</p><p>- Assist with sales reporting, tracking KPIs, and preparing weekly summaries</p><p>- Collaborate with marketing and sales staff on campaigns and follow-up activities</p><p>- Provide general administrative support to the sales department</p><p> </p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field</p><p>- Strong verbal and written communication skills</p><p>- Ability to stay organized, multitask, and manage time effectively</p><p>- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)</p><p>- Comfortable communicating with customers and internal teams</p><p>- Self‑motivated, eager to learn, and a team player</p><p></p><p>Additional Responsibilities:</p><p>- Assist and shadow other functional areas as needed to better understand the full scope of our business. </p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p></p><p>Founded in 1923, Applied Industrial Technologies (NYSE: AIT) is a leading value-added distributor and technical solutions provider of industrial motion, fluid power, flow control, automation technologies, and related maintenance supplies.
