About the Role

Taylor Hobson is recruiting for an Electronics/Systems Placement Student to join the Business Unit in Leicester, United Kingdom for 12 months.


Key Responsibilities

Working as part of our multi-disciplined R&D team you will be involved with the design, development and testing of the control systems for our precision measurement instruments.

This could involve the following:

  • Writing and testing firmware for FPGAs and microcontrollers

  • Creating and modifying CAD drawings in various software packages

  • Assisting with evaluation testing, involving measuring components on our instruments and analysing the results

  • Assisting with creation and maintenance of electronics CAD libraries

 
Requirements for Consideration

ESSENTIAL:

  • At least basic knowledge of the following -VHDL FPGA design ,C programming, digital and analog electronics

  • Strong all-round communication and analytical skills and a real commitment to teamwork

  • Drives projects to completion

  • Confidence and integrity

 

DESIRABLE:

  • Proficient in the use of Word processing, Maths (Excel) and PCB schematic capture software

  • Undergraduate level electronic engineering or related discipline.
