Job Description

The Bioassay Method Development Intern will work under the guidance of experienced scientists to gain hands-on experience in the performance of various bioassay methods. The intern will participate directly in laboratory activities such as preparing reagents, maintaining cell cultures, performing ELISA and cell-based assays, and documenting experimental details and observations.

Intern Experience Gained/Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on work with ELISA and cell-based bioassays under supervision
  • Prepare buffers, media, and reagents to support experimental activities
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and perform data entry
  • Support organization and preparation of technical documentation
  • Gain exposure to method development, qualification, and transfer processes
  • Learn documentation practices and basic GMP principles
  • Participate in lab management tasks, including organization, maintenance, and equipment upkeep
  • Shadow scientists across multiple stages of bioassay development and testing

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field scientific field
  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety and aseptic technique
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and scientific writing
  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment

Additional Information

Position is full-time, working 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
