Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our Operational Excellence team. This internship offers hands-on experience in driving sitewide improvement initiatives, designing operational workflows, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have an academic background in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Project Management, and a strong interest in continuous improvement methodologies. This role is designed for individuals who are curious, creative, resilient, and solution-oriented, with a passion for problem-solving and process optimization.

 

Core Responsibilities:       

  • Lead and support sitewide improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Design and document operational workflows that align with best practices and business objectives.
  • Develop and utilize data analytics to identify trends, measure performance, and inform decision-making.
  • Manage and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and drive accountability.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of business intelligence tools to enhance visibility and reporting.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to executive leadership, summarizing findings, recommendations, and project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for efficiency and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through engagement, communication, and training.
  • Utilize Lean principles and data-driven methodologies to drive measurable improvements.

                                                                                                            

Qualifications: 

Required

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with SQL, DAX, or other programming languages for data analysis and automation.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
  • Understanding of business operations, pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, or basic chemistry concepts.

 

Pay Range: $20 - $22 per hour
