ANDRITZ’s Automation & Digitalization provides customized electrical, control, and instrumentation engineering solutions for industrial facilities. Some of the industries we serve include Power & Energy, Pulp & Paper, Mining, Oil Sands, and Lime & Cement. Our Richmond, Nanaimo, and Prince George locations are currently seeking Electrical Engineering Co-ops to support a variety of engineering activities for the summer 2026 term.

 

What Would You Be Doing?

Our designs typically include a wide variety of engineering applications. Activities may include:

  • Preparing and evaluating tender and construction electrical and instrumentation packages, including drawings, installation specifications, and supporting documentation. 
  • Programming PLC and DCS, including process modeling and simulating of control systems.
  • Designing and commissioning electrical power systems, including substation and electrical room design, equipment specifications, grounding systems, and cable and raceway sizing and layouts.
  • Auditing industrial facilities and developing preliminary engineering designs for power and control system upgrades.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of electrical, computer science, or mechatronic engineering program
