About the Role

UPMC is seeking a detailed-oriented and analytical Data Analysis & Process Improvement Summer Intern in the Ancillary Operations department. The Ancillary Operations department is responsible for product & system implementations, configuration, operations and vendor oversight, and operational support for the UPMC Dental Advantage and UPMC Vision Care products. Team members can expect to develop, manage, and support tools essential to product performance. This can and is not limited to inventory management, claim/utilization reporting, and project oversight. Team members can also expect to evaluate operational processes to test efficiencies. They will also be challenged to conceptualize, recommend, and implement process improvements to support business objectives and optimization. 

This is a hybrid shift consisting of working from home and in the office.  The internship will run from May 26th to August 14th with some flexibility to start and end if necessary.  

Irrespective of the published compensation in this posting, wages may be adjusted based on education and experience levels.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in service and social activities.


  • High School Diploma Strongly Preferred.
  • Current undergraduate student or recent graduate with education or experience in healthcare, information management, project management, supply chain, or analytics.
