As an Internal Audit Co-Op, you’ll support initiatives that strengthen the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of our financial and operational processes. You’ll work closely with teams across Finance while gaining hands-on experience in internal controls, SOX testing, and audit best practices. Your work will directly contribute to building a strong compliance foundation that supports HubSpot’s long-term growth.</p> <h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Support Internal Audit in improving financial close processes and enhancing HubSpot’s policies and procedures.</li> <li>Contribute to updates and ongoing improvements of our Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) reporting framework.</li> <li>Partner cross-functionally with accounting, tax, accounts payable, financial reporting, and FP&amp;A as an independent and supportive business partner.</li> <li>Assist with SOX testing to help ensure accuracy and reliability in financial reporting.</li> <li>Support operational audits, including documenting processes, evaluating controls, and identifying opportunities for improvement.</li> <li>Maintain and refine team resources such as the Internal Audit Wiki to ensure clarity and accessibility of information.</li> <li>Help implement updates within our systems and support other audit-related projects as needed.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></h2> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a degree program in accounting, finance, business, data analytics, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.</li> <li>You must be enrolled in a degree program until <strong>at least December 2026&nbsp;</strong></li> <li>Able to commit to a full-time, <strong>40-hour/week co-op from June to December 2026</strong><br><br></li> <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.<br><br></li> <li>Ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and communicate insights clearly.<br><br></li> <li>Interest in internal audit, risk management, financial reporting, or controls.<br><br></li> <li>Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.<br><br></li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.<br><br></li> <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice-to-Have Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with internal controls concepts (e.g., SOX, risk assessments, audit testing).<br><br></li> <li>Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, or basic analytics tools.<br><br></li> <li>Prior internship, co-op, or project work in finance, accounting, or audit.<br><br></li> </ul> <h2><strong>Where You’ll Work</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Location:</strong> United States<br><br></li> <li><strong>Work Preference Eligibility:</strong> Onsite / Hybrid / Remote<br><br></li> <li><strong>Travel/Shift Requirements:</strong> None<br><br></li> </ul> <h2><strong>Application Requirements</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Applications must be submitted by <strong>Friday, February 6th, at 5:00pm EST</strong>.<br><br></li> <li>Applications must be submitted in <strong>English</strong>.<br><br></li> <li><strong>Cover letters are not required.</strong></li> </ul> <hr> <div class="description"> <p><strong>Pay &amp; Benefits</strong></p> <p>The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles.
