About the Role

 

Overview: This position will serve as a supportive role within Butler Machinery performing various tasks related to the operations of the enterprise with the goal of learning and understanding the equipment business in anticipation of a possible, future full-time position.

Sales Support:  

  • Assist the Sales team with customer site visits, ride‑alongs, and relationship‑building activities.
  • Learn Butler’s sales processes, techniques, and product offerings across Ag and Construction lines.
  • Support daily paperwork flow, quoting, and internal communication between departments.
  • Assist with market research, product comparisons, and basic pricing or competitive analysis.
  • Help maintain sales resources and prepare materials for customer meetings or events.
  • Participate in special projects assigned by Store Manager. 
  • Work within and promote the Vision, Mission, and Values of BMC. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


 Parts Operations & Support

  • Support the Parts Department with a variety of operational projects.
  • Procure parts for the Service Department to ensure timely job completion.
  • Process orders for counter sales and internal service requests.
  • Accurately pick, stage, and fill orders to support efficient workflow.
  • Deliver parts to the Service Department in a timely and organized manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • Candidates who are working towards a degree in Agricultural Business or other related major in college preferred. 
  • Computer skills essential with experience in Power-Point and Excel required. 
  • Position would require a minimum of 10 to 15 hours per week during the school year, potentially 40 hours outside of the school year.
  • Must be insurable to drive a company vehicle.
