- Learn about forensic accounting and financial damage measurement within an insurance capacity

- Work as part of a team, with others across the broader organization in reviewing commercial property policies specific to time element coverages

What You Will Work On?

- Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and other documentation

- Data entry and inputting financial data

- Review/perform quality control on loss measurements prepared by team
- Work closely with team to learn how to evaluate financial damage claims including business interruption and inventory validation/valuation

- Help to create a positive team environment that achieves Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and objectives

- Participate in weekly professional development and training workshops as well as network with fellow interns and Hartford professionals through the enterprise

What is The Hartford looking for?

- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with an anticipated graduation date of May 2026 or 2027

- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically Excel

- Must have a record of high achievement, self-motivation, ability to multi-task and accomplish competing priorities

- Ability to analyze/reason through complex problems and make sound recommendations while consistently demonstrating honesty, integrity, courtesy and respect when interacting with others

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
