About the Role
Miller Creek is seeking a Design Assistant Intern to support our Landscape Designer and project team. This internship is ideal for a student or recent graduate pursuing Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or a related field who wants hands-on experience in a real design/build environment.

You’ll assist with design development, site documentation, estimating support, and field coordination while learning how landscape projects move from concept to completion.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with landscape design development based on client needs and site conditions

  • Help create site plans, sketches, and basic 3D renderings using landscape design or CAD software

  • Support plant selection, hardscape materials, and layout concepts

  • Assist with site visits, measurements, and project documentation

  • Help prepare design presentations, proposals, and material lists

  • Support estimating with quantity takeoffs and pricing research

  • Work alongside Landscape Designers, Project Managers, and field crews

  • Observe project installation to better understand construction methods

(Duties may vary based on project needs and intern skill level.)

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or related program

  • Basic experience with landscape design software or CAD (training available)

  • Interest in plants, hardscapes, and outdoor construction

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks

  • Comfortable working outdoors in seasonal weather conditions
