Electrical Engineering Intern

Job description

We are seeking an electrical engineering intern to join our defense electronics team. The intern will work on various projects related to the development and design of defense electronics systems.

Bascom Hunter provides solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Aerospace markets across various disciplines. Our Defense Electronics division currently provides products and services across four product lines: Advanced Systems, RF Front Ends, Mixed Signal Products and Digital Products.

 

Responsibilities:

· Assist in the design, development and testing of defense electronics systems

· Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues

· Learn and utilize industry-standard design tools and processes

· Participate in design reviews, code reviews and technical meetings

· Conduct research on emerging technologies and their applications in defense electronics

· Conduct simulations and analysis to evaluate system performance.

· Support the testing and debugging of electronic systems.

· Provide updates on project progress.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.

· Learn and apply industry-standard tools and methodologies in electrical engineering.

 

Requirements:

· Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

· Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and digital signal processing

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient in circuit analysis and simulation software such as SPICE, MATLAB, etc.

· Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

This is a full-time or part-time, paid internship opportunity, depending on whether this is a summer (full-time) or non-summer (part-time) role. Start and end dates are flexible based on the intern's availability.
