About the Role

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Construction Materials Testing Intern. In this role, you will work with engineers and technicians to perform daily tasks related to soil and concrete testing. This opportunity will give you invaluable on the job experience and exposure to construction engineering.

 

Salary: $21- 23$/hr DOE 

 

Responsibilities

• Setup, conduct and analyze standard field and laboratory tests following prescribed procedures.• Performing testing and inspection of soil/aggregates, concrete, masonry, rebar, and bituminous pavement in the field and laboratory• Ensure that all testing equipment, work vehicles, and tools are properly calibrated and maintained.• Communicate with Clients, Technicians, and Project Managers on a professional level to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction.• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills / Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent• Valid driver's license• Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis• MNDOT certifications in soil preferred; examples include Aggregate Production and Grading and Base, Bituminous Street and Bituminous Plant, Concrete Field, ACI• Related work experience in materials testing or construction preferred
