About the Role

Industrial Scientific is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern for summer 2026! As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in designing and testing next-generation industrial safety products, including gas detection instruments and connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in electrical design tasks, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Support prototype assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development.
  • Document design changes and maintain revision control.
  • Participate in design reviews and compliance testing (EMI/EMC).
  • Contribute to sustaining engineering and quality improvement projects.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering program, graduating December 2026 or later.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools (Altium, AutoCAD) and basic programming.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work full-time during the internship period.

Pay Range
The hourly range for this role is $20-$40/hour.
