Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Join us for an exciting summer!  We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Supplier Quality- Incoming Inspection team as an intern.

 

As a Supplier Quality Engineering intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting inspection planning, measurement system analysis, and equipment organization within a manufacturing quality environment. This role offers exposure to quality assurance practices, data-driven risk alignment, and practical design work that supports inspection accuracy and operational efficiency.

 

In this role, you will assist with reviewing and improving inspection plans, support measurement system analysis activities, design measurement fixtures, and help organize and calibrate inspection equipment using 5S and visual management principles.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review existing inspection plans to identify errors and improvement opportunities
  • Support alignment of inspection skip frequencies based on supplier risk
  • Assist with Measurement System Analysis (MSA) in support of current projects
  • Design simple measurement fixtures using SolidWorks to improve repeatability
  • Review and update gage inventory and support calibration activities
  • Improve inspection equipment organization and accessibility for efficiency
  • Review and support optimization of Hänel-Lift equipment, including space utilization and shelf height
  • Apply 5S and visual management principles to organize cabinets, drawers, and frequently used equipment

  • Develop skills in inspection planning and quality assurance
  • Build practical experience with measurement fixture design
  • Gain exposure to Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
  • Strengthen workplace organization and inspection efficiency through 5S
