Job Duties & Responsibilities

Join us for an exciting summer!  We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Guide Bar team as an intern.

 

As a Guide Bar intern, you will be exposed to hands-on documentation development, digital learning integration, and technical design support within a complex manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the standardization and digitization of work instructions while gaining experience with advanced manufacturing processes, automation, and technical documentation systems.

 

In this role, you will support the Guide Bar Department by creating and digitizing work instructions using the Dozuki platform for a variety of manufacturing processes. You will also assist in identifying documentation gaps, developing 3D models and 2D drawings for critical spare parts, and organizing technical documentation within DB Works to support training, maintenance, and long-term operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and digitize standardized work instructions using the Dozuki platform for manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Support documentation for processes including metal stamping, welding/hardening, assembly, spot welding, painting/packing, and digital printing
  • Review existing documentation to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and incomplete procedures
  • Assist in developing clear, easy-to-follow work instructions accessible via tablets on the production floor
  • Identify missing machine documentation, including 3D models and 2D drawings of spare parts
  • Develop 3D models and detailed 2D drawings with functional dimensions and GD&T for critical spare parts
  • Measure components as needed to support accurate model and drawing creation
  • Organize and properly file documentation and reference materials within DB Works
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to support quoting and cost-effective sourcing of spare parts
