Position Overview

As an Assisted Living Administration Intern, you’ll work closely with our leadership team to gain hands-on experience across multiple facets of assisted living management and senior care. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing healthcare administration, gerontology, social work, long-term care leadership, or related fields.

You’ll gain insight into both the administrative functions and resident-focused care practices that support high-quality, compliant assisted living services.

What You’ll Do – Core Responsibilities

Administrative & Operations Support

  • Shadow the Assisted Living Administrator to learn day-to-day leadership practices in a senior living setting.
  • Assist with scheduling, event planning, and coordination of resident programs.
  • Support documentation, file management, and reporting to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in staff meetings and operational planning sessions.

Geriatric Care & Resident Engagement

  • Observe and participate in resident care activities and social programs.
  • Support wellness initiatives aimed at promoting residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Learn approaches to individualized care planning and resident documentation.

Professional Development

  • Receive mentorship from experienced assisted living professionals and department leaders.
  • Engage in reflective learning around senior care leadership and quality improvement.
