Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Galveston, TX 77554Position Type: InternshipEducation Level: NoneSalary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: AnyJob Category: Customer ServiceThe Summer Revenue Management Intern will work directly with the Revenue Manager, Reservations Team, and Hotel Leadership to gain comprehensive exposure to the analytical, operational, and strategic functions of hotel revenue management. This position serves as a hospitality business development opportunity designed to provide hands-on experience in pricing strategy, demand forecasting, inventory management, and performance analysis within a full-service resort environment. During the internship, the participant will complete structured rotations within the Revenue Management department, gaining exposure to core revenue functions such as forecasting, reporting, inventory management, and reservations coordination. In addition, the intern will also participate in rotational experiences within other hotel operational departments to develop a broader understanding of how revenue strategy impacts overall hotel performance, guest demand, operational planning, and service delivery. Assist the Revenue Manager and leadership team with daily revenue management support Participate in revenue strategy discussions and operational planning meetings Assist with monitoring hotel occupancy, booking pace, and demand trends Support preparation of revenue reports, occupancy forecasts, and performance dashboards Assist with analysis of historical booking data and seasonal demand patterns Review daily pickup reports and assist with tracking reservation trends Support coordination between revenue management, reservations, and sales departments Participate in departmental rotations to gain exposure to forecasting, reservations coordination, and inventory management processes Participate in observational rotations within other hotel operational departments to understand how revenue strategies impact front desk operations, sales, events, and guest services Assist with monitoring online distribution channels and rate parity across booking platforms Participate in reviewing group bookings and their impact on hotel inventory and pricing strategy Assist with special projects related to revenue optimization and operational efficiency Prepare reports and presentations summarizing revenue performance and key insights Maintain confidentiality regarding financial data, business performance metrics, and strategic planning   Qualifications Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Tourism, or a related field Strong interest in hotel revenue management, hospitality analytics, reservations operations, or business strategy Ability to analyze information and identify trends related to occupancy, booking pace, and demand forecasting Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when working with reservation and performance data Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with hotel leadership and operational teams Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment in a fast-paced hospitality setting Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data tracking and reporting Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking skills Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with financial, operational, and guest-related data Willingness to participate in rotational learning experiences within the Revenue Management department and other hotel operational departments Flexible schedule with the ability to work varied hours including weekends or peak operational periods if required
