This role requires a commitment of 4 days in-office per week at our facility in Garden Grove, CA as well as full-time hours (40 hours a week).</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Duration:</strong> 10-11 weeks (May 26 to August 7 OR June 22 to August 28)</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Relocation Support:</strong> A $1,000 relocation stipend is available for interns currently residing more than 50 miles from Garden Grove, CA.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Compensation:</strong> Earn an hourly rate of $25-35 USD per hour.</span></li> </ul> <h2><strong></strong></h2> <h2><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong><strong>:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Sizing and design of power electronics components such as inverter, on-board battery chargers, DC-DC converter for commercial trucks.</li> <li>Hands-on testing, bring-up and validation of power converters / motor controllers.</li> <li>Mixed-signal PCB design based on IPC standards</li> <li>Worst case circuit analysis on critical areas of the overall system.&nbsp;</li> <li>Circuit simulation using LTspice and PLECS.</li> <li>Collaborate with mechanical designers to integrate electrical devices in product designs</li> <li>Write technical reports and present at design reviews</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Required Skills</strong><strong>:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Thorough understanding of analog electronics circuits, digital electronic circuits, power supply design, magnetics design and control theory</li> <li>Prior coursework and experience with Power Electronics and high voltage systems.</li> <li>Working knowledge of High voltage systems in automotive.</li> <li>Experience in hands-on electrical fabrication and/or troubleshooting</li> <li>Experience in basic PCB layout&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in setup and use of data acquisition systems</li> <li>Work authorized in the United States OR ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa</li> <li>Currently registered in a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD program focused on Power electronics.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><div><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt;"><strong>Equal Opportunity</strong></span></div> <div><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt;">Harbinger is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
