This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world security operations in a fast-growing automotive and manufacturing environment. The primary responsibilities for this position will be to <strong>contribute and learn about securing an enterprise environment.</strong> This role offers the opportunity to build valuable experience at a fast paced, high growth startup during a critical early product stage.</p> <h2><strong><strong>What You'll Do</strong>:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Monitor and respond to email security threats, including phishing, malware, and spam.</li> <li>Monitor, analyze, and triage endpoint security detections using EDR and related tools.</li> <li>Assist with incident investigation and escalation following established security procedures.</li> <li>Document, maintain, and help develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical security processes.</li> <li>Support continuous improvement of security monitoring, detection, and response workflows.</li> <li>Collaborate with IT and Security teams to strengthen overall security posture.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Required Skills</strong><strong>:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology.</li> <li>Work authorized in the United States OR ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Ability to clearly document technical processes and findings.</li> </ul> <p></p> <h2><strong>Nice to Have Skills</strong><strong>:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Networking Fundamentals</li> <li>Exposure to vulnerability research, scanning, or remediation processes</li> <li>Basic scripting experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)</li> <li>Understanding of the CIA triad</li> <li>Familiarity with common security tools (SIEM, EDR, etc.)</li> <li>Interest in compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SAE 21434, TISAX</li> <li>Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CC) are a plus</li> </ul> <p></p><div class="content-conclusion"><div><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt;"><strong>Equal Opportunity</strong></span></div> <div><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt;">Harbinger is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
