About the Role

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Internship: Production Associate / Feeder (4-month) - Milton, ON, Canada

 

The hourly rate for this position is $20 - $22 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Milton plant has an opening for Intern as Feeder (4-month) in the Production team. 

 

Position Overview:

This position will support the processes and Feeder department specific objectives at our Milton Facility.

 

 

Essential Functions:

•    Preparing material for paint process and identifying appropriate tools and methods to ensure clean and smooth surfaces.
•    Inspecting final product for cosmetic, coverage, cure, adhesion, and thickness.
•    Loading and unloading product from the paint line and ensure conveyor to part continuity.
•    Using various tools to install and assemble interiors, breakers and assisting with the packaging of panel boards and kits.
•    Assisting with the operation of machinery, constructing, and assembling cells for production.
•    Assisting Assemblers with the switchboard assembly process, wiring sub-assemblies, labeling, and maintaining Kanban.
•    Complete other duties/projects as required

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

•    Enrolled and returning to a College or University program.
•    Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
•    No relocation provided. Candidates must currently reside within 120 kms of Milton, ON, Canada. 
 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Prior internship or co-op experience an asset.
•    Previous manufacturing experience an asset.
•    Good PC skills, including MS Outlook.
•    Strong customer service focus with a commitment to confidentiality, a high level of professionalism and time management skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to work safely, on multiple projects, in a manufacturing environment.
•    Good analytical/problem-solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability.
•    Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.
•    Strong communication skills.
•    Passion for innovation & continuous improvement, and willingness to challenge status quo
