About the role:

As a New Components & BWR Engineering intern, you will work on a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience in the field of mechanical engineering. You will be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the development of technical products and systems. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the industry and help you develop your engineering skills.

 

You will report to the New Components & BWR Engineering Manager and be located at our Chattanooga, TN facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering design and analysis for nuclear power plants, ASME nuclear island components, and BWR fuel
  • Work with our engineering team, customers, vendors and other internal departments on project assignments to obtain information necessary to perform engineering assignments
  • Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, nuclear, or materials engineering
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • No relocation assistance provided

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
