We carry over one million industrial, material handling and business products that are sold through our website, corporate sales people and full color catalogs. We are constantly increasing our product offerings to meet the diverse and changing needs of our customers. Our customers include small to large corporations, institutions, government agencies and consumers across North America.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 
• Under supervision, assist in the specification, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of new information system platforms and applications using standards established.
• Undertake various research as directed by the Supervisor by collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and presenting statistical data and other information gathered from diverse sources. 
• Assist in improving the functionality and content of existing information system platforms / digital workflow projects.
• Assist in on-going and planned information technology (IT) projects.
• Will be involved in real ongoing projects that the team is currently working on.
• Depending on the phase of the project, intern’s interest and background, the selected intern may be assigned research, analysis, design, development, testing, training, user support, or outreaching work.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Competencies and skills

• Proficiency in the following: PHP (Laravel), Python, JavaScript, SQL, Git.
• Skilled in using various IT tools including but not limited to:
• Microsoft Teams / SharePoint, 
• PowerApps
• JIRA
• Confluence
• Knowledge in cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing structured data.
• Knowledge in developing workflow automation and service request tracking solutions would be an advantage.
