Description

As a Quality Co-op Student at Sunstar Engineering Americas, you’ll gain hands-on experience with real-world lab projects in a supportive, learning-focused environment. You’ll be paired with mentors from our experienced quality team and encouraged to contribute ideas, ask questions, and grow your technical and professional skills. Whether you’re helping improve products, testing materials, or learning manufacturing processes, your work will make a meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills for experimental design and troubleshooting
  • Critical thinking to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Solid technical aptitude, especially in laboratory tools and instrumentation
  •  High attention to detail for accurate testing and documentation
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative in a research setting
  • Collaborative team player with effective communication skills in cross-functional projects  
  • Support Quality Control efforts including current product testing and manufacturing improvements.
  • Assist with preparing reports and testing materials.
  •  Learn and apply laboratory procedures for conducting tests and analyzing data.
  •  Accurately document lab work, experiments, and test results.
  •  Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and refine processes.
  • Communicate findings in verbal and written formats.

Requirements

  

Required:

  • Actively enrolled in a college or university program with at least 35 credit hours completed by the start of the Co-op
  • In good academic standing (preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher)
  • Completed basic math and science courses
  • Willingness to learn and apply laboratory techniques
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation

Preferred:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and curiosity
