The Opportunity

We are looking for proactive, curious and future-minded students with a keen interest in investment fund management, portfolio design, and operational excellence to join us for our four-week winter internship, The Future Investors Program. The program will run from the 29th of June to the 24th of July 2026 in Melbourne.


About the Future Investors Program 


As a Future Investor you will have the opportunity to join one of our investment or investment related teams. Working closely with your team, you will gain a real life understanding of investment management and be immersed in our unique total portfolio approach to investing. Through working on relevant projects, getting stuck into daily processes and shadowing a knowledgeable mentor you will gain an understanding of how and why we do what we do. 


Throughout the program you will also have the chance to meet with industry leaders, develop key business skills through targeted workshops and listen to subject matter experts give talks on a range of interesting investment principles. 


Placements


Internship placements are available in the following teams: 


•    Overlays & Treasury Management 


The Overlays and Treasury team designs and implements portfolio derivative strategies, including currency forwards, interest rate futures and swaps, equity futures, and options. Our Treasury team supports liquidity management, balance sheet efficiency, and risk mitigation. Suited to those who enjoy applying numerical / analytical reasoning to macro investing with a curiosity to connect financial markets & risk management to portfolio outcomes. 


•    Property


Join our team managing a global portfolio of unlisted property investments across debt, equity, pooled funds, and co-investments with leading managers. Gain exposure to real estate strategies and portfolio management in an international context. Ideal for real estate students, or those with an interest in real estate markets.


•    Credit


Work with our Credit team on dynamic strategies spanning multiple asset classes and return-seeking debt instruments. Gain hands-on experience in active portfolio management aimed at capturing value through credit spreads and risk analysis. Perfect for inquisitive, articulate students with a strong interest in financial markets and investment strategies.

•    Dynamic Asset Allocation (DAA)


The DAA team works to shape the portfolio’s liquid exposures across equity risk, interest rates, developed and emerging market currencies, commodities, and inflation. Working with DAA is best suited to candidates with an interest in economics and financial markets, solid numerical ability, and practical Python skills for data analysis.


•    Private Equity 


Our Private Equity team partners with high‑conviction managers across buyout, growth, venture, and secondaries at the fund and co‑investment level. The Private Equity team is ideal for finance/commerce students with strong analytical skills and a keen interest in financial markets.


•    Responsible Investment (RI)


Our RI team drives environmental, social, governance (ESG) and climate integration across investment strategies, monitors ESG exposures and leads stewardship activities. Working with the RI team is ideal for students in finance or sustainability with a strong interest in responsible investing and ESG principles.


•    Economics and Capital Markets


The Economics and Capital Markets team is responsible for analysing global investment environments, delivering insights on geopolitics, macroeconomics, policy, and capital markets across developed and emerging economies. Suited to candidates with a passion for technology, macroeconomic trends, and financial markets.


•    Alternatives 


The Alternatives team plays a critical role in strengthening total portfolio resilience by investing in strategies that deliver absolute returns- returns that are independent of broad market directionality. These strategies aim to harness active manager skill (alpha) and non-core risk premia. Candidates with an economics or finance background and a passion for alternative investment strategies are preferred. 


•    Investment Data Management 


Within the organisation, the Investment Data Management (IDM) team is integral to ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of data across all investment processes. The IDM team oversees the complete lifecycle of investment data, encompassing a broad spectrum of activities essential to the fund’s operations. This function underpins the quality of investment decision-making, risk management, and reporting by providing robust and dependable data.

About You

  • Approaching the final, or in your final year of an undergraduate or graduate degree.

  • Applications will be reviewed once they close on March 16th. 

  • If your application is long listed, you will be asked to complete online blended assessment 

  • Blended Assessment includes psychometric testing and a video interview

  • Successful candidates after the online blended assessment will be invited to an in-person assessment centre at our Melbourne office on the 29th of April
