About the Role

We are seeking a 6-month intern to join the Accounting team in our Ho Chi Minh office. While the primary focus will be on Accounting tasks, the role also involves providing extended support to our Sustainability team.

Job Description

At the end of this internship, the intern will be equipped with practical accounting knowledge, data integration between systems, project management skills and understanding some basics standard operating procedures in an SME.

Scope of assignment:

Expense management and payment processing, purely Accounting.

  • Follow company procedures for travel expense claims, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
  • Perform simple bookkeeping tasks related to daily financial transactions.
  • Assist in invoice handling, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely processing with weekly payment.

Data support and controller, Accounting & Sustainability

  • Offer limited support to the accounting team during the implementation phases of new accounting systems (CODA replacement)
  • Assist with data integration for IKEA’s sustainability assignment and provide occasional support as a project controller.

Ad-hoc Assignments

  • Fulfil other assignments as required by the supervisor, adapting to dynamic tasks to support team objectives.

Qualifications

  • Good communication in English and proactive attitude
  • Good computer skills, especially Excel and Word
  • Good knowledge of finance, accounting or related fields
  • Interested in Accounting – Tax – Legal and Standard Operating Procedures
  • 3rd or final year student, with Internship Recommendation Letter from University. Expected Graduation: after Sep 2026.
