About The Company
Auger.AI has the most complete solution for ensuring machine learning model accuracy. Our MLRAM tool (Machine Learning Review and Monitoring) ensures your models are consistently accurate. It even computes the ROI of your predictive model! MLRAM works with any machine learning technology stack. If your ML system lifecyle doesn’t include consistent measurement of model accuracy, you’re likely losing money from inaccurate predictions. And frequent retraining of models is both expensive and, if they’re experiencing concept drift, may not fix the underlying problem. MLRAM provides value to both the data scientist and business user with features like accuracy visualization graphs, performance and accuracy alerts, anomaly detection and automated optimized retraining. Hooking up your predictive model to MLRAM is just a single line of code. We offer a free one month trial of MLRAM to qualified users.
About the Role

About the Role (and it isn't for everyone)

Most internships are vanity projects. Ours isn't.
You won't build a feature that gets shelved. You won't work on a "learning project" that never sees production. You'll write code that ships to real customers solving real problems in global supply chains.
If you need hand-holding, look elsewhere. If you want to build systems that matter, keep reading.

What You'll Do

  • You'll work on production systems that execute millions of dollars in supply chain decisions every day. Not prototypes. Not demos. Real infrastructure that can't go down.
  • Your code will run in production. Your decisions will affect real businesses. Your mistakes will teach you faster than any classroom ever could.
  • You'll build real-time data pipelines, APIs, and AI-powered tools to deliver innovative features for our customers.
  • Dive into tough problems, like optimizing logistics algorithms or improving the responsiveness of our platform.

Who Succeeds Here

  • You thrive on hard problems. When something breaks, you want to understand why, not just fix it. You ask "why" until you hit first principles.
  • You ship. You don't need perfect conditions to build. You work through ambiguity, make decisions with incomplete information, and iterate based on reality.
  • You own outcomes, not tasks. If something isn't working, you fix it. You don't wait for permission. You don't need consensus to act.
  • You learn by doing. You read code to understand systems. You break things to learn how they work. You get better every week because you refuse to stay still.
  • You argue with ideas, not people. You'll work with some of the smartest engineers, data scientists, and operators in the industry. They will challenge you. You will challenge them. That's how we get better.

Who You Are

  • You're actively enrolled in a computer Science, engineering, or related degree program (Bachelor's or Master's)
  • You have hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • You bring an understanding of algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems
  • You can work In-person work from our Bellevue headquarters (no remote, no hybrid)
  • You will participate in On-call rotations (systems run 24/7, so we do too)
  • If any of these are deal-breakers, this isn't the role.

What You Get

  • Access to the smartest people you'll ever work with. Engineers who built supply chains at unprecedented scale. Data scientists pushing the boundaries of autonomous systems. Operators who lived the consequences of latency and built the solution.
  • Real responsibility. Your commits go to production. Your architecture decisions matter. Your opinions shape what we build.
  • Problems that matter. You're not optimizing ad clicks. You're building systems that reduce billions in waste, eliminate carbon emissions, and make supply chains run like they never could before.
  • The truth. When you do great work, we'll tell you. When you don't, we'll tell you that too. Fast feedback is how you get better.

How to Apply

Include the following info your application or email it to us (along with your resume) at careers@auger.com and include "SDE - Intern" in the Subject Line.

What are you building right now?
Side project, class assignment, personal tool, anything. What is it? Why did you start it? Where did you get stuck and how did you eventually break through?

Prove you're already using AI as a force multiplier
Don't tell us you "use ChatGPT for coding." Everyone does that. Tell us about a specific problem where AI helped you do something you couldn't do alone. What did you build? What prompt strategy worked? What didn't work? Where did you have to step in because the AI hit a wall? If you're not excited to use AI to build faster and think deeper, this isn't the place for you.
