Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Maritime Division, you will join the Export Trade Managers team in the Maritime Purchasing Division and contribute to the following tasks:

  • Obtaining rates from shipowners for specific trades  
  •  Responding to quotation requests from the network
  • Negotiating freight rates with shipowners for targeted accounts
  • Compiling purchase rates for key accounts
  • Ad hoc marketing studies

Profile:

You are studying at a business or engineering school, preferably specialising in purchasing. Knowledge of international transport/logistics would be an advantage.  
You are motivated, curious and have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a good command of Microsoft Office. Proficiency in Excel is essential. 
You are fluent in English, and knowledge of another language would be an advantage.
You are thorough and proactive.
With a genuine interest in current affairs and the international economy, your analytical and summarising skills are key assets for success in this internship.
