Cloud Engineer Intern

MAIN TASKS

• Assist in designing and deploying secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud-based data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Support the automation of cloud resource provisioning, monitoring, and scaling under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Help maintain data backup, recovery, and basic disaster recovery processes.
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to learn and apply Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and security best practices.
• Assist in configuring and optimizing cloud networking to support data movement between on-premises and cloud environments.
• Explore and experiment with emerging Azure services, including serverless computing and analytics tools.
• Support Azure DevOps activities, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure updates.
• Participate in troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably with exposure to Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with data platforms such as Databricks or interest in learning them.
• Foundational knowledge of automation or scripting tools (e.g., Bicep, Terraform, Azure CLI, or PowerShell) is a plus.
• Basic awareness of cloud security concepts, IAM, and data protection principles.
• Introductory knowledge of networking concepts and hybrid cloud environments is an advantage.
• Interest in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure automation.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, eagerness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Azure certifications or coursework (e.g., Azure Fundamentals) are a plus but not required.
