What we’re looking for:

The Loeb Electric Internship Program gives rising college juniors and seniors the opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. As a Loeb intern, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals in finance, operations, project management, and general business, contributing to projects that directly support our customers and internal teams.

Our goal is to provide meaningful work while exposing interns to the day-to-day operations of a 100+ year-old, family-owned electrical distribution and services company. You’ll learn how different business functions connect to deliver value for customers, develop your professional skills, and gain insight into potential career paths within Loeb Electric.

 

What your 12 weeks may look like: 

  • Support daily departmental tasks such as financial reporting, data entry, project tracking, and workflow documentation.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and/or meetings to understand how operations, finance, and project management intersect to serve customers.
  • Assist with analyzing data, identifying trends, and preparing reports or presentations for team use.
  • Observe and shadow experienced team members to gain perspective on leadership, collaboration, and customer engagement.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements and help implement small-scale changes to improve efficiency.
  • Complete a capstone project with a presentation that highlights your learning and presents recommendations to Loeb leadership at the end of the program.

 

Who You Are:

  • A rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Business, Project Management, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Interested in understanding how a distribution and services business operate from the inside out.
  • Comfortable working with data, Excel, and learning new systems or tools.
  • Ready to learn, take initiative, and be part of a collaborative, team-driven culture.

Program Details:

  • Timeline: June – August 2026
  • Compensation: $19.00/hr.
  • Location: Columbus, OH (On-site)
