Job Summary & Essential Functions

As an IT Intern, you will work under the guidance of experienced IT professionals to provide support and assistance for the organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting the organization's computer systems, servers, networks and other related hardware and software components.

  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Manage and maintain servers and network equipment
  • Monitor and manage backup and disaster recovery systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Ensure IT security and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Investigate any Cybersecurity issues when warranted
  • Review and Develop Group Policy Objects
  • Document and maintain IT infrastructure inventory and procedures
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to provide effective IT support and services

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Understanding of server administration and virtualization.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work on different IT projects and assignments.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.  

Required Experience & Education 

  • Working toward a degree in Computer Science or other computer related field
